City officials met with the congregation of Inglesia Ni Cristo.

Inglesia Ni Cristo makes donation 

Congregants from Inglesia Ni Cristo church donated to the Bayonne Police and Fire Departments and residents on Oct. 31. Hundreds of care packages will be distributed to seniors.

The church and city officials also celebrated the birthday of Eduardo V. Manalo, founder of the denomination.

Big lottery ticket sold 

Bayonne is on a winning streak when it comes to selling tickets for the New Jersey Lottery.

One ticket, sold at Goldy’s, 757 Broadway, had all five numbers in the Jersey Cash 5 lottery drawing on Oct. 24, winning $534,923. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000.

Bayonne man allegedly steals car 

Lynel Connell, 39, was taken into custody from the area of East 53rd Street on Nov. 4.

A male, 51, of Easton, PA reported that he left his vehicle running in the parking lot of QuickChek, 20 East 53rd St.

Police located the vehicle being operated in the area of Garfield Ave. and Catherine Court; the vehicle had allegedly been stolen by Connell.

Parking enforcement 

The city resumed enforcement of residential permit parking zones on Nov. 2. Beginning Nov. 9, summonses were issued to violators.
