Assemblyman William Sampson, who represents the 31st Legislative District including Bayonne and Jersey City, recently held the first of what will likely be many breakfasts with seniors.

Sampson held the breakfast at The Chandelier at 1081 Broadway the morning of Friday, June 17. The event came amid the celebration of Juneteenth weekend in Bayonne.

The event, aimed to cater to both residents of Bayonne and Jersey City, according to Sampson. The breakfast was well-attended, with over 300 people present.

The seniors enjoyed free breakfast courtesy of Sampson. The menu included pancakes, waffles, eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, juice, coffee, tea, and more.

Sampson reflected on the event as a great turn out for seniors for fellowship. He touted it as a great opportunity to connect with the Bayonne community as well as the Jersey City community.

Many seniors packed into The Chandelier on Broadway for the free breakfast.

The assemblyman looks to hold more community events to interact with constituents in the future. Residents can check Sampson’s official social media pages for information on upcoming events.
