Mayor Michael Gonnelli and the Secaucus Town Council are again set to hold a special joint meeting with the Secaucus Board of Education.
The meeting is slated for 4:30 p.m. on August 8 in the council chambers on the first floor in the Municipal Center at 1203 Paterson Plank Road.
The agenda will include discussion regarding shared services and joint collaboration on matters involving the town and the Board of Education, according to the town. The council and board will also hear public comments.
Formal action will not be taken at said meeting, per the town. In the past, the town has held joint meetings between the entities to discuss topics that may involve them both.
This is the second of such recent meetings since the first took place in February of this year. At the meeting on Feb. 3, officials talked about how to solve overcrowding issues that may arise in the district in the future with the completion of redevelopments that are currently under construction.
The conversation earlier in the year concluded on an open ended note, but the council and board agreed to meet again regularly. For more information on the upcoming August meeting, check the calendar webpage at secaucusnj.gov.
