“I am happy to share that our Election Procedure is complete,” Byrd told the Bayonne Community News. “The results from our election held on November 15th were submitted to our branch secretary on November 15 and reported to the executive team on December 6.”

According to Byrd, all NAACP members are encouraged to attend the installation. Installation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m at The Club at Bayonne Bay at 500 Liberty Way.

Byrd was first elected president of the Bayonne Branch of the NAACP back in January 2021. Since then, he has been working to revitalize the organization, which has resulted in a number of accomplishments including helping host the first Juneteenth Celebration at Thomas DiDomenico-16th Street Park this past June.
