Before Castro’s arrest, two other people were also arrested for the shooting. Darren Esteves, a 20-year-old from Jersey City, was caught on June 23, 2024, by police in Orlando, Florida.

Esteves is currently held at the Orange County Corrections Department pending extradition to New Jersey.

He faces similar charges to Castro, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and aggravated assault.

Earlier, on April 24, 2024, Aaliyah Rivera, a 23-year-old from Jersey City, was arrested by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
