Hey, cycling fans! On Saturday, September 14th, we’re bringing back our awesome ride along the Henry Hudson Trail to Fort Hancock. It’s a free event, so grab your bike and join us for a day of beautiful views, good company, and a solid ride. The only thing that could stop us is rain!
Event Details
We’ll be riding for about 6 hours and 45 minutes, covering around 49 miles in total. The ride kicks off and wraps up at Extra Space Storage in Hazlet, NJ. Along the way, we’ll cruise through some of North Jersey’s prettiest spots, including Sandy Hook Bay, Fair Haven Fields, and parks like Thompson, Cross Farm, and Holmdel. The trail has protected bike lanes and plenty of places to refill your water, making it both safe and easy to enjoy.
Since everyone has their own speed, we might split into smaller groups as we go. Remember, this isn’t a race – just a fun, challenging ride. Keep in mind that this ride is pretty tough, so it’s best for those with some experience. The total elevation is 577 feet, and we’ll be riding at an average speed of around 11 miles per hour. We’ll also take a few breaks to stretch and rest.
Event Location
We’re starting and ending the ride at 1 Phyllis Street, Hazlet, NJ 07730, right at the entrance to Extra Space Storage. If you’re not sure where that is, here’s the Google Maps link.
