Save the date for Saturday, November 23, and get ready for an afternoon of cat-filled fun at Monty Hall! WFMU’s Amanda and Jim the Poet are hosting a special event that’s all about cats, community, and maybe even finding your new furry friend.
Between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM EST, you’ll have the chance to meet up to 20 adoptable cats along with their rescuers. If you find a cat that you connect with, you can apply right there to become a new cat parent. Amanda and Jim the Poet will keep the event lively, while DJs Maggie Hertz and Perro Caliente play music that’ll make you and the cats feel right at home.
The event is happening at Monty Hall, located at 43 Montgomery Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302. It’s an easy-to-find spot and a great place to spend an afternoon with family, friends, and potential new feline companions.
Everyone is welcome to attend, no matter your age, and there’s no cost to join the fun—entry is completely free. Just remember, while the event is all about connecting with cats, dogs will need to stay home this time around.
Meet adoptable kitties from some of New Jersey’s great rescue groups, including:
– Hudson County Animal League (HCAL)
– Tiny Tigers NJ Rescue
– Meows Kitty Kat Rescue (partnering with Ironbound Cats)
– Companion Animal Trust (CAT)
Come out, meet some new furry friends, enjoy the music, and support local rescues. Who knows? You might just leave with a new member of the family!
