Ramping up for the fall season, ArtHaus launches creative workshops, a new program set to launch in September. We’ve tapped some of our greatest people to lead these workshops including local musician, rocker Jack Skuller who will host a guitar workshop in the first weeks of the new program. Other workshops include creative writing, music production, visual art, DJing and more.
The first workshop will take place on Saturday, September 6th when seasoned producer/engineer Jerrell Battle drops his knowledge on “Why Your Track is Whack” – Let’s Fix Your Track. On Sunday, we’ll host, “What Represents You: Painting Experience.” with local visual artist Loretoh Oreckinto.
The summer’s been great, but we realized we needed to get jumping on our regular programming, as summer winds down and the community is looking for new, exciting activities for the fall and winter months. “Join the Band” and “Young Producers of Tomorrow” after school programs will be popular choices for kids looking to jam with other young talented, budding musicians and those interested in music production/Ableton Live. In addition to after school programs including guitar, piano, bass, DJ & music production classes, we’ll be launching fun daytime programming for the community to include Mommy & Me midday classes and special events.
The idea is to offer interesting, affordable and fun workshops for the community. We hope locals will reach out and let us know their interests. We have the experience and resources to produce anything the community desires. The fall will also bring a new membership program for art enthusiasts and a monthly event series titled, “Be My Guest.”
