There’s a lot of good energy around Jersey City this week, and it’s mostly because Chris Gethard and a group of local comedians are coming together for a fundraising comedy night that aims to support the Triangle Park Community Center.
The show will feature Chris Gethard along with Joshua Lay, Alex Grubard, Nick Fierro, Andrea Wang, Angel Yao, and Pat Byrne. They’re performing to raise money and collect donations that will help the community center continue its work in the Ferris–Triangle Park area of Greenville. The center offers food, clothing, and educational programs to local residents and also works with community leaders to support the neighborhood.
People who attend can bring donations such as new, unopened toys (these are especially needed), lightly used jackets or coats, and non-perishable food. In exchange, limited-edition tote bags will be given out while supplies last. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Triangle Park Community Center.
The show takes place at Monty Hall, 43 Montgomery Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302. It’s an easy spot for locals and a friendly space for events like this.
General admission is $28.52. The event runs in person from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. EST on December 12, with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. It’s a simple way to enjoy a night of comedy while helping a part of the city that truly benefits from community support.
