This Sunday, there’s a great local music event you won’t want to miss. WFMU Radio is hosting a live performance at Monty Hall in Jersey City, and the show will also be broadcast on the air. It’s a chance to enjoy live music in person and support independent radio in our community.
Bern & the Brights will perform on Sunday, November 23rd from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with doors opening at 4:30 PM. The event is free, open to all ages, and takes place at 43 Montgomery Street, just a short walk from the Exchange Place PATH station.
Bern & the Brights, an electro dream-pop duo from Montclair — Bernadette Malavarca and Catherine McGowan — blend loops, synths, guitars, and emotional vocals for a sound that mixes light and dark tones in a thoughtful, moving way.
There will be plenty of records, CDs, and WFMU merchandise available for purchase, and all proceeds help support WFMU. It’s an easy-going, community-focused event — come by car, train, bike, or on foot and enjoy a relaxed evening of live music.
