This Sunday, July 27, there’s a full-day event happening in Jersey City called GetOpen Move N Groove. It’s a free, all-ages outdoor party that mixes music, wellness, dancing, and healing activities—all right by the water with amazing views of the NYC skyline. It’s part of the #GOParkTour NJ series, hosted by GetOpen Sessions and Move N Groove.
The event takes place at J. Owen Grundy Park, on Hudson Street in Jersey City. It runs from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and doors open right at noon. You’re encouraged to bring picnic blankets, chairs, snacks, and plenty of water. The event is family-friendly, so feel free to bring the kids too.
Here’s what’s happening throughout the day:
- 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Movement as Medicine with Katherine and Karla from LAPS Holistic Arts. This class includes gentle movement, breathing, and energy work to help you feel more relaxed and balanced.
- 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: A+Solmatic Flow with Amy Lo and DJ Sol Blessed. A mix of music, meditation, stretching, and emotional release. There will be soft music, optional touch for support, and space to just be yourself.
- 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM: LAPS Healing Booth. You can get a face and tongue reading to learn more about your health or a spiritual energy clearing. Both are offered by donation—give what you can.
- 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Move N Groove Dance Party. DJs will play deep house music all afternoon and evening. Hosted by B-Boy Irv and Tweet. Music by Deep Just, K Civ, Daniel Scala, Mykael, and Sol Blessed. Sound by Carrel Sound System.
You can relax, dance, or talk to the wellness guides anytime during the day. The space is open, calm, and welcoming. You don’t need to register or buy a ticket—just show up. Donations are appreciated but not required.
