The Ha Ha Harvest Comedy Festival is bringing another round of laughs with Smorgasbord of Shorts, a showcase of funny short films that’s part of the 2025 festival lineup. It’s a laid-back afternoon of comedy made by talented filmmakers who know how to get a laugh out of any situation.
The event takes place at Monty Hall, 43 Montgomery Street, a friendly local spot that’s easy to reach. You can drive, take public transit, bike, or walk. There’s paid parking nearby, and doors open at 3:00 PM, so you’ll have time to settle in before the show starts.
Tickets are $17.85 for general admission. The show is in person, open to all ages, and runs about an hour and a half. It goes from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM EST on November 16. After the screenings, there’s a Q&A session with the filmmakers, so you can hear how the films came together.
Here’s what’s showing:
- King Me – Two neighbors battle it out over a board game in a comedy about rivalry and the fine line between love and hate.
- Couple’s Counseling – A cranky divorcé is abducted by aliens, and his talking bulldog has to save him.
- Skate Night – A dad and daughter go to their roller rink’s Halloween party, only to find the skaters turning into zombies.
- Friends Not Food – A New York PR manager inherits a struggling Florida farm sanctuary and finds herself stuck between chaos, animals, and a crew of misfits who might just change her life.
- A Man Apart – A detective takes a case from a mysterious woman and ends up fighting for his own soul.
- The Michael C. Jordan Theory – A man annoyed with his Instagram algorithm decides to take control, with help from his wife.
- The Postman – A postman discovers a faster way to deliver mail with a Raleigh Chopper bike — but it doesn’t go as planned.
- Don’t Forget You Are a Boy – Three best friends try to prove themselves in a wild, one-shot story full of energy.
If you want a fun and easy way to spend a fall afternoon, grab your ticket and head to Monty Hall. The Smorgasbord of Shorts is the kind of community comedy event that reminds everyone why laughing together is the best part of the season.
