Gamers in Jersey City are gearing up for a big night at The Pixel Lab on 1st Street. On November 20, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. EST, the spot will host the Golden Joystick Video Game Awards Viewing Party and a Mario Kart Tournament — a full evening of gaming, prizes, and community fun.
SpeedrunHypeTV, a verified Twitch Partner and official co-stream partner of the awards, is running the event. The Pixel Lab at 381 1st Street is known for its great gaming setup and welcoming crowd, and it’s the perfect place to watch the 2025 Golden Joystick Awards replay on the big screens with live reactions from local fans.
Admission is free, but the arcade charges $20 per person for unlimited console and arcade play ($25 if you don’t register ahead). That price includes a refillable fountain drink, giveaway entry, and it’s BYOB. Guests under 18 must come with a parent or legal guardian.
Doors open early at 3 p.m. for anyone who wants to grab a good spot, try some games, and meet other players. The awards replay begins at 6:30 p.m., hosted by Joseph “Joevellius” Cameron from SpeedrunHypeTV. There will be giveaways and community shoutouts around 8:30 p.m., followed by the tournament finals at 8:45 p.m. — complete with a cash prize for the winner.
