The incident occurred shortly after 11 a.m. on Friday at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Stegman Street.

A witness at the scene, Chris Seawell, reported that his mother and daughter were in the car that collided with the patrol vehicle.
“She didn’t want to be touched, she was hurting, all that type of stuff, but for the most part, my daughter is good, my mother is good, thank God,” Seawell said.
His girlfriend, Saleema Roberts, described the accident, stating, “The light was green, she was turning, and the cop only had on his sirens, he didn’t have the sound on, so when he turned, he hit her, and that’s how her car ended here, but he did a 360, and that’s how he ended up hitting another car.”

Seawell expressed his frustration over the incident, “I’m just angry, you all are supposed to be aware of what you are doing, you are supposed to protect us, you put us in harm’s way doing stuff like that.”
