A funeral mass was celebrated Dec. 1 at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus, for John Cingirre Jr., 92. He passed away peacefully Nov. 27 at his residence in Secaucus. Born in Hoboken, and raised in Union City, Mr. Cingirre lived in Union City for 66 years before moving to Secaucus 23 years ago. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was in the D-Day Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He worked as an accountant for American Express for 32 years before retiring in 1985. John is survived by his wife Dorothy of 70 years, a brother-in-law Richard Potente and his wife Lorraine of Secaucus, and many nieces and nephews.
