All Saints to honor veterans at assembly

All Saints Catholic Academy will honor veterans, past and present, at an assembly on November 2 in the school gym.
Friends and family members of the students and faculty will be honored and recognized for their service to our country, this will be followed by a small reception Military memorabilia will be on display in the front entrance of the school for the month of November, they will include pictures, awards, medals, and newspaper and magazine
articles.

All saints has also adopted two units of solders who are currently serving on deployment in the Persian Gulf. This will be part of project Frontline Campaign. It is a national
organization in which individuals and groups show support to the military personnel who are deployed by sending care packages that contain items requested by the troops Last
year the school shipped 28 boxes overseas.

Another project the school is part of is HATS OFF TO OUR HEROES. This project entails writing a note of thanks, support and appreciation to veterans on a paper cap.
The caps will adorn the school front entry and will serve as a welcome to those veterans who will be attending our assembly on Nov. 2 Upon completion of the assembly, the caps, with the well wishes, will be sent to the Veterans hospital in East Orange
