A graveside service took place July 5 at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge for Harold Zwain, 92. He passed away peacefully on July 2. A father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he lived in Jersey City and Berkley Heights. Born in the Bronx, Harold grew up in West New York before moving to Jersey City. Harold owned Karten’s, a gift store, in Bayonne. Harold and his wife Lillian were one of the eight founding families of Congregation B’nai Jacob in Jersey City. He remained active in the synagogue until he moved to Berkley Heights. He was a devoted and loving father to his children, Michael and his wife, Jodi (Goldring), Alan and his wife, Beth (Richardson). Harold was predeceased by his wife, Lillian. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren, Jenna, Maxwell and Jessica and his great-grandchildren Riley and Evie.
