Guttenberg man charged with endangering the welfare of a child

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has arrested Roberto Delgado-Gonzalez, 44, on charges he allegedly endangered the welfare of his three-year-old son after the child was hospitalized and tested positive for methadone.

The above charge is merely an accusation. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

North Bergen libraries launch self-checkout

All branches of the North Bergen Free Public Library have contactless self-checkout through a computer system, to minimize COVID-19 spread.

The main library is at 8411 Bergenline Ave., the Kennedy Branch is at 2123 Kennedy Blvd., and the Guttenberg Resource Center at Galaxy Towers Mall is on the lower level at 7002 Blvd. East.

Jersey City man charged with sexual assault of minor

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Darious Dickey, 21, of Jersey City, on charges involving the sexual assault of a 14-year-old female with whom he was allegedly acquainted.

The alleged assault occurred on Ocean Avenue on Feb. 17, 2018. Dickey is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Tempest Productions offers virtual theater

Tempest Production’s StoryBook Theatre will post free videos at 1 p.m. on Sundays throughout the fall.

Hoboken police seek suspect in Oct. 11 shooting

The HPD seeks the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection with an Oct. 11 shooting near 940 Monroe St. at about 2:30 a.m.

The suspect pulled over near Ninth Street between Madison and Monroe streets in a four-door dark-colored sedan,according to HPD>

He allegedly shot the male victim several times, then drove north out of Hoboken.

Arrest made in fatal Jersey City hit and run

On Oct. 13, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Beato Sepulveda, 78, of Jersey City on charges related to the death of a man, 62, who was killed in a hit and run on March 18, on Palisade Avenue near Christ Hospital.

On March 18, officers responded to Palisade Avenue between Jefferson Avenue and Waverly Street on a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Armando Campos-Perez was pronounced dead at 2:25 a.m.

Hoboken Happy Hours and Party With Purpose, will host the Fourth Annual Hoboken Pizza Fest on Nov. 14 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Jersey City man gets upgraded charges for Bayonne crash

On Oct. 13, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Jersey City resident Peter Bishara on upgraded charges related to a motorcycle crash in Bayonne on June 16 that injured a woman, 26.

The Bayonne Police Department had also issued several motor vehicle summonses.

Bishara is innocent until proven guilty.

Lafayette Park shooting death under investigation

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a shooting death at Lafayette Park in the area of Van Horne and Maple streets on Oct.9, about 8:45 p.m., according to the HCPO.

The man, later identified as Teyan Grant, 47, of Jersey City was pronounced dead at the scene.
