Join us at the Museum on Sunday, June 5 at 1301 Hudson for a full day of LGBTQIA+ programming. From noon until 6, we celebrate the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans Queer Intersex and Asexual community (and communities!) with 3 special events that are a co-production of the Museum with the Thomas Edison Film Festival and Hudson Pride Center, with thanks to the Hoboken Business Alliance. Admission is free, and donations are much appreciated.
It begins with a “Meet and Greet” in the Passageway from noon until 5. Local orgs and vendors will be set up to share info and talk about their presence in the community. You’ll find: Hudson Pride Center, The Hoboken Library and Hoboken Rainbow Family. You’ll also find Rolando Nieves and Nicole Pometti, the queer, Latinx filmmaker hosts of the podcast “Remakes, Reboots ad Revivals” which explores Hollywood’s obsession with “unoriginality,” among many others.
From 4:00 to 5:00, come inside the Museum for an old-fashioned “mixer.” Enjoy Wine and Cheese while you see old friends and make new ones.
From 5:00 to 6:00, The Thomas Edison Film Festival will present a special curation of Queer Cinema featuring a Q&A with filmmaker David De la Fuente and festival director Jane Steuerwald.
In addition, enjoy live PRIDE-themed “Hoboken Talks” episodes online every Thursday at 7 in June on our YouTube channel, “hoboken museum.”
